Poke Coins Are Cheaper At The Moment! Could It Be An Event Discount Or Major Bug?

100 Poke Coins Are Cheaper At The Moment

For the first time since the game was released (as far as I’m aware), there has been a major shift in the price of Poke Coins in Pokemon GO’s cash shop. Go on and check for yourself; 100 Poke Coins are cheaper at the moment, and nobody is quite sure why.

In Australia, 100 Poke Coins usually cost $1.49, but are now selling for $0.99, which is a huge discount. At this price, it’s cheaper to buy multiple bundles of 100 Poke Coins rather than buying the larger packs of 550, 1,200, 2,500, 5,200, or even 14,500 Poke Coins. Could this drop be due to a bug, or is it part of the Adventure Week event?

For those that are unaware, the Adventure Week event kicked off on Thursday and brings increased spawn rates for rock type Pokemon, 4x buddy candy, a new wearable hat, more items from Poke Stops, and cheaper Poke Balls.

We’ve got discounted Poke Balls, but perhaps discounted Poke Coins were also supposed to be a feature of the event, and were just not announced? Or, and this is more likely, this is just a bug that was unintentional, and will be rectified within the next day or so.

Regardless of why the Poke Coins are discounted, this is the first time we’ve seen cheaper Poke Coins during an event, so make the most of it now! Grab as many of the 100 Poke Coins packs as you can, because whether this was a bug or simply part of the event, it won’t be here forever!

It should also be noted that while 100 Poke Coins are cheaper at the moment in some Countries, not all Countries have received the discount (which is another reason to assume that this is a bug, and not part of the event). Some players have reported receiving the cheaper Poke Coins in Australia, the U.K., and Canada, while players in the U.S. are saying that it hasn’t changed at all.

But what do you think about this? Are 100 Poke Coins cheaper than normal in your Country? Do you think this is the result of a bug, or do you think it’s just a feature of the event? As always, let me know what you think in the comment section below!
